Import-Export Specialist (m/w/d)

That's The Job

Global Trade & Customs
  • Responsibility for the legally compliant handling of all import and export processes
  • Ensuring compliance with all customs issues (e.g., AEO-F/AEO-C/AEO-S, declarations of conformity, origin and preferential law)
  • Cooperation with authorities (e.g., customs, BAFA) and management of external service providers
  • Monitoring and implementation of legal import/export requirements
  • Ensuring export control and compliance requirements
Logistics & Transport Management
  • Management and optimization of national and international transport processes (focus on air freight/CEP services)
  • Monitoring delivery dates, Incoterms, and freight costs
  • Analysis of transport key figures (e.g., delivery performance, costs, throughput times)
  • Handling escalations and special operational cases
Supply chain & process optimization
  • Interface management between sourcing, accounting, customer service, and external partners
  • Analysis and continuous optimization of end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Participation in forecast, demand, and inventory planning
  • Further development and documentation of existing import, export, and logistics processes
  • Identification and implementation of efficiency and cost reduction potential

That's You

  • Completed degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration with a relevant focus
  • Several years of professional experience in freight forwarding, foreign trade, customs, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Knowledge of customs and export control law (e.g., AEO, preferential law, sanctions list screening)
  • Experience in transport management, ideally with air freight
  • Analytical mindset and structured, independent working style
  • Confident use of ERP and customs systems (e.g., ATLAS, SAP, or similar) and MS Office
  • Strong language skills – German (C1) and English (B2) spoken and written. Confident communication in both languages – spoken and written – is important
